Catherine Mason is an independent art historian and author who has been researching the history of computer and digital art since 2002, when she joined an AHRC-funded research group at Birkbeck, University of London – The CACHe Project (Computer Arts, Contexts, Histories, etc), working with Dr Nicholas Lambert. Her books include the solo-authored A Computer in the Art Room (JJG: 2008) - now an ebook (2021) and the co-edited White Heat, Cold Logic (MIT: 2009). Current projects: A chapter on art education for the forthcoming Bloomsbury Encyclopaedia of New Media Art; a peer-reviewed paper on Robert Mallary and a book on George Mallan (co-founder of the Computer Arts Society). Also writes for Studio International & The Tickle, leading NFT art magazine in Tezos.
