I've attended SIGGRAPH conferences for over 25 years. I've participated as a demo artist for Nichimen Graphics and, informally, in the Guerilla Gallery. In 2002, I hosted L.A. Siggraph's event "Let the Games Begin: Advances and Economic Growth of the L.A. Game Industry."

I believe that "Journey to the Fourth Dimension" screened in 1992. It was the first stereoscopic computer-generated ride film. I was the stereoscopic animation producer and one of the art directors.

Short Bio
Maija Beeton is an artist and producer who has had major installations, exhibitions and screenings in North America, Europe and Asia. Beeton was a Filmmaker-In-Residence and the Director of Advanced Technology Programs at the American Film Institute. She headed the Film Conservatory's Graduate Program in Digital Media and developed and managed other programs including: the California Digital Arts Workshop, the Intel Enhanced Television Workshop and the Computer Media Salon. In 2009 Beeton was awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Graphic Design and has since incubated several digital media start-ups.
