When and how have you participated at SIGGRAPH Conferences? (exhibits, talks, panels, performance, screenings). OK if you have not participated.
I attended the Vismasters' conference in Boston a couple of years ago, and am a member of several 3D users' groups locally and on line. My studio, Onion3D, does work for clients both locally and nationally.
