Elizabeth Leister received an MFA in sculpture from The Milton Avery Graduate School of the Fine Arts at Bard College and a BFA in painting from the Tyler School of Art.
Her work has been exhibited at the Torrance Art Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Delaware Museum of Art, and the North Dakota Museum of Art; Art in General, Apex Art and P.S. 122 in New York; and Highways in Santa Monica.
Leister has performed at Perform Chinatown, and LACE in Los Angeles. Her networked performances have been presented at the Cardiff School of Creative & Cultural Industries in Wales, The University of Reno, Outpost Artists Resources in New York and in Low Lives 2 & 4.
Leister has received awards from The Durfee Foundation of Santa Monica, The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and The Leeway Foundation of Philadelphia and was recently awarded a COLA Fellowship grant for 2014-2015 from the Department of Cultural Affairs in Los Angeles.
Leister lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
