Event Description

WATCH IT! is a showcase of contemporary video art to be exhibited at the Taubman Museum, New Media Gallery, Roanoke Virginia, November – December 2011.

WATCH IT! is produced in association with the New Media Caucus of the College Art Association (CAA) and the School of Visual Arts (SOVA) at Virginia Tech (VT). The video art showcase will be curated by advanced video students from SOVA under the supervision of Dr. Simone Paterson, Associate Professor of New Media Art and Chair of the Studio program at VT. All submissions will be reviewed and a selection of video art will be chosen to show in the New Media Gallery at the Taubman by the end of October. Notification of selection will be sent via email.

Entry is easy, just upload your video to your Vimeo account and email the link, use WATCH IT! as the email subject. There is no fee to enter WATCH IT! and there is no payment for screened works. Submission deadline September 19, 2011.

Guidelines Maximum length of video: 10 minutes. Maximum entries: 2 per individual or group. No copyright material or copyright music please.
