Event Description

Spain and International/

This is an open call for experimental, innovative, and risk-taking artists to take part in the TRANSMADATAC project.  The project is focused on featuring Video Art and Audio Visual Art in all forms, including all processes of image-sound interaction and experimental cinema, with the goal of bringing these works to a broader public.  Emerging video artists who are outside of conventional mass media are encouraged to apply.  Unless otherwise indicated by the artist, all submissions will automatically be entered into the selection of the Vth edition of MADATAC (the Contemporary Audio-Visual & New Media Arts Festival) organized by Transfera Media Arts for December 2013 in Madrid, Spain.  An international jury will award prizes at this event.

The participants must send their works, preferably not to exceed the 20’ (exceptions if the video merits it), in mpeg, mov or similar files (no DVD-Video please). At least 720x576 16:9 resolution, preferably HD, on a dvd, small hard disk or pen drive, with broadcast quality, mandatory Spanish subtitles for text or dialog in another language, two jpg stills of the video, a brief CV and a filled and signed form agreement for broadcast permission.

 The organization cannot return materials.
