This one day symposium will be held in association with:
• The Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning through
Design: a partnership between the University of Brighton, the
Royal College of Art, the Royal Institute of British Architects and
the Victoria & Albert Museum
• The Higher Education Academy Subject Centres in:
Health Sciences & Practice
Art, Design, Media

The symposium will explore the role of interdisciplinary educational projects in Higher Education. It will provide the opportunity for delegates to learn about different types of approaches or practices and discuss the value and implications of this type of cross-sectoral activity. Speakers and participants will examine current and emerging practices, investigate the ethical issues of designing for healthcare and discuss the role of design education in our future well-being. We welcome designers, educators, architects, health-related practitioners and theorists to share their work and discuss these issues.
