Stefan is a researcher and senior lecturer at Colab, the interdisciplinary unit at Auckland University of Technology. He teaches in courses around his main research interest, virtual reality, visualisation, and computer graphics, but also programming and physical computing.
Stefan has eight years industry experience as a hardware and software developer, a Diplom of Microinformatics and a Master’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Westphalia, Germany, and a PhD from The University of Auckland for a project combining Virtual Environments, Serious Games and Image Processing into a medical teamwork simulation. In his free time, Stefan is an avid photographer and likes exploring the New Zealand outdoors.
