To foster year-round engagement and dialogue within the digital, electronic, computational and media arts. Facilitate dynamic scholarship and creative programming within the ACM SIGGRAPH organization. Brittany Ransom is an artist and educator currently living in Long Beach, California with her wife and two dogs. Ransom is the recipient of numerous awards and grants including the ZERO1 American Arts Incubator (2019),Camera Obscura Art Lab Residency (Santa Monica), Workshop Residency in San Francisco, the Arctic Circle Residency, and the College Art Association Professional Development Fellowship. Her most recent work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, Berlin (Transmediale 2017), Chicago, and Dallas. Ransom served as the SIGGRAPH Studio Chair (2017) and Art Gallery Chair (2019), both in Los Angeles. Ransom is the Program Head of Sculpture/4D and an Assistant Professor of Sculpture at California State University Long Beach. Ransom is half african american and was born in the small city of Lima, Ohio.
