Ayumi Miyai is the Secretary General at the Computer Graphic Arts Society in Tokyo, Japan. She holds Master of Media Science. She started her career as a designer and animator of computer graphics at the Japan Computer Graphics Lab. She was one of the core organizers of the Computer Graphic Arts Society, and has been engaged in developing educational and training programs, teaching materials, certification tests and student CG contest for the computer graphics academy and industry in Japan. Recently, she has developed teaching materials for stereoscopic 3DCG animation. In addition she is currently conducting research on teaching and assessment methods for computer graphic animation at The University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. She acted as SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 Education Program Chair, was on the SIGGRAPH International Committee from 1988 to 2004 and is an active member of the Tokyo chapter.
