I am an Architect/Artist. I was Architect of the Frost Art Museum in Miami, my last building before I became completely disabled due to a rare disease of my spine. I live in constant pain and my digital art is my refuge of sorts from my daily struggles. I use photoshop CS4. I'm influenced by the bauhaus and also cultures from around the world; islamic art and architecture, tibetan mandalas and prayer wheels, indonesion batiks, African textiles. I also use mathematics to work out many of my compositions. I do this the old fashioned way, constructing everything from scratch with geometry and mathematics including the use of phi. I'm a baby boomer brought up in the analog world and learned about art and architecture pre-digital which means I learned to draw and draft. These skills serve me well with digital technology and allow me to create the complex worlds of my imagination.
