OK so this may be a slightly stupid question, but i am stuck! I am a Texture artist and am having problems with my transparency in Maya 2009. Here is the low down.
I made my UV map, slipped it into Photoshop, painted my textures, set it up on a Blinn in Maya. Seems to be all linked correctly, (they way I have done it a million times), except the object that I linked it to is now transparent. You can see the texture, but you can see right through the object. I look in my attribute editor and the transparency setting is fine, so are my alpha settings. So I can't figure out what is wrong. The only thing I can come up with is there is something wrong with the model, possibly? This is the first time I have used a premade model that I downloaded from a website where you can purchase 3D models. (trying to bulk up my reel a bit).
So if anyone has any ideas, maybe something I haven't tried? I think I mentioned everything I tried. Anyway all halp is much appreciated! Thanks!
