The Lumen Prize Exhibition is a a global prize and tour for digitally-created art. Since launching in 2012, we’ve staged over 15 shows in venues around the world and disbursed nearly US$20,000 in prize money.
We’ve just launched the fourth Call for Entries and I’d be honoured if you would consider entering or could assist us with promoting the prize across your networks.
In addition to the top awards, worth $5750, there are also four specialist awards this year:
- $1000 for the Lumen Creative Coding Award, recognising excellence in art that is coded by the artist.
- $1000 for the Lumen Immersive Environments Award recognising excellence in the creation of an environment for the viewer to enter either virtually or physically.
-$1000 for the Lumen Performance Award, in partnership with the Welsh National Opera, recognising excellence in work which incorporates sound and movement. The winner will receive a $1500 commission from the WNO.
-$1000 for the Lumen Creative Still Award, recognising excellence in a still image.
-$250 for the Lumen Prize People's Choice Award - chosen by a public vote from the top 100 Works selected from the 2015 Lumen Online Gallery.
The top 25 works will form the Lumen Prize Exhibition which tours the world.
